Some extra points
- We only stayed here for one night as the the anchorage became increasingly uncomfortable during the time we were there. It got to the point where we were literally lying on the sofa, waiting for the right tidal conditions to leave! Not fun…feeling seasick in an anchorage!
- There are lots of rocks and lobster pots around to watch out for as you enter and leave the anchorage.
- The marina in the town dries out (as shown in the pictures below) so we couldn’t use it with our 1.8m fin keel!
- There is a reasonably sized supermarket (Carrefour Contact) within walking distance from the anchorage. It’s on the main road on the way out of town as is probably a 20 minute walk or so.
- There is a sailing school (for kids) based in the anchorage and they were all sailing around (fairly closely) to our boat when we were anchored up which didn’t help us relax as there were a few near misses!
- There is a carousel in the town by the marina. (We didn’t get drunk and go on this one though!)
- I wish we could have spent longer exploring here but we hadn’t built up enough confidence to leave the dinghy unattended at this point!
