Some extra points

  • The is a port of refuge for when it gets rough so it’s good to enter in any weather or tide. Bear left as soon as you enter through the outer wall. Visitor pontoons are O and A.
  • The showers here are tiny cubicles with barely enough room to move in. I seem to remember they were nice and hot though!
  • Town is close enough to walk into. There are plenty of trams running if you need to get anywhere further.
  • There is a nice long promenade and you can walk along the breakwater that protects the marina – great for checking out the sea state before you head out. It amazing how calm the marina is even when the weather is really rough outside the harbour walls!
  • If you come down this way – don’t leave without visiting Honfleur! It’s only 14 or so nautical miles away and WELL worth a visit! Watch the video I made from when we went to explore the town.
  • The Notre-Dame du Havre Cathedral is beautiful and not far from the marina if you’re interested in looking at that kind of thing!
  • Le Havre is a major port so keep an eye open for all sorts of traffic on the water from yacht to fishing boats to ferries and cruise ships!
